The 2007 conference will take place November 1-3, 2007 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The first Midwestern Universities Analytical Chemistry Conference was held in 1946 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with the goal of strengthening the common threads that bind and define analytical chemistry. Sixty years later, the faculty of the University of Illinois again invites you to Urbana-Champaign to reconnect with old friends and colleagues and meet some of the new people who are helping shape the dynamic landscape of measurement science.

MUACC is a chance for those interested in research, teaching, and service in the broad context of analytical chemistry to gather to exchange ideas and report on cutting-edge work in progress. The meeting will be held November 1–3, 2007 and include a mixer on Thursday evening, a full day of technical presentations and a poster session on Friday, and conclude with more contributed talks Saturday morning.

All attendees are invited to give oral presentations of varying levels of formality—from chalk talks to PowerPoint. Contributors are especially encouraged to present their most recent results rather than recount literature publications. The length of talks will be determined closer to the conference date to reflect the number of submitted titles. A young investigator session is being planned within the technical program and travel support is available for untenured faculty through the East Central Illinois ACS Chapter. As is traditional, senior postdoctoral associates who will be looking for academic positions in the fall/winter 2007-2008 are also welcome to attend.

We look forward to seeing you this fall.
