Most conference sessions will take place at the Illinois Union in the heart of the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-champaign.

Directions to the Illini Union: From Interstate 74: Get off at the Lincoln Avenue exit. Turn onto Lincoln heading south (toward campus). At the intersection of Lincoln & Green turn right onto Green (heading west). The Illini Union will be to the left on Green, (approximately 3 blocks) just before the intersection of Green and Wright. The address is 1401 West Green Street.

Champaign and Urbana are located in the East Central region of Illinois at the intersection of Interstate Highways I-57, I-74, and I-72. The cities are conveniently located 138 miles south of Chicago (2.5 hour drive from O’Hare International Airport), 124 miles west of Indianapolis, and 168 miles northeast of St. Louis.

Willard Airport (www.flycmi.com) in Champaign/Savoy (approximately 5 miles south of campus) is the closest airport to the University of Illinois. Daily flights are offered to and from Chicago O’Hare (by American Eagle), Detroit (by Northwest Airlink), and Dallas/Ft. Worth (by American Eagle). Willard is a small, though modern, airport with four gates, operated by the University of Illinois. The airport code for Willard is "CMI".

PARKING

Parking on campus can be difficult. Meter parking ($0.75/hr) is available, but limited. All hotels listed above are within walking distance, although the Hawthorn is a longer walk. We recommend that you plan to park in Lot E-14, just west of Assembly Hall on the far southwest side of campus, and take the free shuttle bus to the Illini Union.
